Great
Atmosphere
I got a warm welcome from the manager, Frank Lui, who runs the place like a five-star general—organized, professional, but with that cool, friendly Philly vibe.
Geena, our server, was a total rockstar. Friendly, fast, and knew the menu inside and out.
Great
food
Started with the spicy tuna roll—I’ve had a lot of sushi over the years, but this one was fresh, had a great kick, and the rice was perfectly seasoned. Not soggy, not dry—just right. You can tell they take care in their prep.
Next up was the eel avocado roll. Now, eel can be hit or miss, but here? It was tender, warm, just the right amount of smoky-sweet sauce, and paired beautifully with the creamy avocado. I could’ve eaten six of them, but I was pacing myself. (Mostly.)

Gotta try
the ramen
Then came the star of the show: the Aki Nom Nom ramen. I wasn’t expecting to be blown away, but the first sip of that broth changed my mind real quick. Rich, deep flavor—savory without being too salty—and packed with goodies. Noodles had that nice chew, the pork was melt-in-your-mouth soft, and the egg was marinated just right. If you’re the type to judge a place by its ramen (like my brother-in-law does), you’re in safe hands here.
The vibe?
Chill, but sharp
Props to Frank, Geena, and the whole crew. I’ll be back soon—next time, I’m bringing the team. Come by and help support my Friends at Aki Nom nom.
